Arantxa's final post

Hi everyone!

After the Easter holidays, here we are again, starting the last period of this course. And I haven’t forgotten to do my last post for the blog. So...here it is.

I feel that this course has helped me to refresh my English and to improve it a little bit more. I also think, like some colleagues, that it would have been better if it had different levels. Anyway, I think it was as good as it can be. In my opinion it was a good idea to start warming up with entretaining exercises, to put into practice vocabulary and to speak, helping to get rid of the usual embarrassment. It was always an effort for me to start the class, and these exercises helped me.

Moreover, it has been interesting to work on our grammar through the Internet and with the Wiki.

I think proposing exercises about different topics each week is a good way to learn vocabulary from different aspects of life. However, sometimes there were too many exercises, and I couldn’t to do all of them. Also, in some occasions, we almost didn’t work about these topics in the next class.

In general, I enjoyed working in small groups, and the role-playing exercises that we have done sometimes. It was indeed a very dynamic course. I still keep on being a little bit blocked when I start speaking English, or when I try to understand every single word that someone is telling me. But I hope that with a bit more practise, and a bit less fear, I will improve my level in the next few months. But I need to persist, of course!

Thank you for everything, to my colleagues and to David.

This is the end my friends

HI everyone!
Thanks you all, the ones that attended classes regualrly, and the ones who did not too.
Thanks to the ones who did a constant work throughout the entire course, and to the ones who worked occasionally for different reasons. All of you will have walked out of this course with the feeling of having learnt something from it, whether that be the language, the need to devote time to learn, or some technological skills.
Whatever your case is, along with the frustrations the course may have causesd you in terms of unfulfilled expectations from the course itself of of any other nature, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for having given me the chance to share this time with you, and have learnt from you in many ways as well.
I would like to finish this farewell by saying that do not stop the process of learning the language here, that this course should mean for you a springbooard to a lifelong process of improvement in the language, and also enjoyment from being exposed to the language and the culture it entails.
For any comments you may have about language or ways of working with it, do not hesitate to ask.
By the way, below your final reflections, I have attached a brief comment to your overall performance.
Good Luck!!!

We laughed very much while we were working together in our English class.I had some informatic difficulties to go into the web pages and to put my works and save it in the wiki page, but finally It has been easier that I had thought.I think that this course have been very interesting; well, in order to say something negative, perhaps we didn´t have enough time to do everything because we needed more time to learn all the contents, videos, web pages...I think that the wiki is a good way to improve our English.Thank you very much.

Last remark.

Hi!

Today is our really last class of the course. Next Thursday we must present our own didactic unit to the others teachers as if they would been our pupils. ¡Horror!

David has told us how we must do this last remark and also he has recommended us: BE HONEST!. I'll do what I can (about english I want say!!! because I  am always honest)

Starting course, David said that we have to work about 30 hours in class and 45 at home, but I have needed 30 hours in class but at home...... 150.

It had been a hard course for me, but I have really enjoyed until today.

We have had many exersices on grammar sheets; we have surfed on the net and we have learned many thing about Martin Luther King, we have travelled safety, we have cooked, we have bought our best clothes for this summer and we have remembered folk tales like Goldielock and the three bears.
It's possible we might speak more in english along the sessions but that is our fault.
Well, I thing I have wrote enough.
Thank you very much, David and partners! I hope to find you in the next Teacher' English Course!

Tomas´& Ana ´s reflexion of english course.

We have done a lot activities which they have improved our english. But we could have worked more. Our problem was that we hadn´t time.

The last english session have clashed with the second evaluation. Now, we are speaking better english that before, although it´s very difficult to speak english when we are living in Spain. We think that we could not speak spanish in english session, but we haven´t done it.

The activities that prepared our teacher, David, were very funny. We have laughed a lot while we are working together in our english session. Perhaps in the future, we could study other english course in Villablanca School.
It´s neccesay a lot of hours to speak a good english.

It´s very confortable to work with the wiki. So everyone can work when he have time.
Also to learn english we have improved our knowledge informatics. Before we haven´t worked with the wiki and we didn´t know the blogs.
